Location: On site at our closed-door, Southborough MA, pharmacy (155 Northboro Road, Southborough, MA)
Salary: starting at $58/hr (contingent with experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday 4:00 pm – 12:30 am, every other weekend 12:30 pm – 9:00 pm
Reports to: Pharmacist in Charge

Key Responsibilities:
- Check and review Floor Technician work (PV2)
- Check, verify and replace contents of E-Kits, ADS machines
- Verify controlled substance prescriptions for accuracy and PV2 complete packaged orders
- Maintain controlled substance inventory for accuracy and organization of the control room
- Verify compounded sterile and non-sterile products, within the guidelines of USP 797 & USP 795
- Make necessary NDC changes
- Process new and completed backorders
- Fill and review LOA requests as they come in
- Verify Clozapine orders and other specialty medications using clinical judgment
- Check medications that have been packaged (pre-pack)
- Supervising Floor Technicians and assisting them as needed
- Maintaining workflow to ensure PV2 is meeting its commitments for pharmacy run times and exceeding expectations of our customers/ colleagues
- Follow the pharmacy policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective medication use, including participation in the pharmacy’s continuous quality improvement program
- Report medication errors to management as they occur
- Clinical knowledge of medications, interactions, and dosages appropriate for each patient
- Abide by all federal and state laws pertaining to the practice of pharmacy
- Complete competency and compliance training
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Flex into PV1 role as available
- Must adhere to Clarest’s Code of Conduct, follow Clarest Compliance policies and procedures, and report any suspected violations of any federal or state laws to either their direct supervisor, Human Resources or the Compliance Officer
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Degree in Pharmacy is required, PharmD preferred
- License to practice in state required (Must be in good standing)
- Minimum of 1 year working in healthcare environment as licensed pharmacist
- LTC Pharmacy or related environment preferred
- Knowledge of Frameworks and Docutrack information systems is strongly preferred
- This position requires the ability to exert up to 40 lbs. of force occasionally and/or lift, carry, push, or move objects
- Position requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time during shift
