We are seeking a VP of Payer Solutions, to spearhead new business development efforts for our innovative medication management program and SaaS solutions. This role is pivotal in driving growth and expanding our market presence. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry, particularly with health plans and payers.

Location: Remote

Salary: starting at $165k + bonus and additional incentives

Travel: 50% +

Reports To: SVP, Diversified Services Sales

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with health plans and payers to expand the reach of our medication management programs.
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve growth targets and expand market presence.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within health plans and payers
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and the competitive landscape.
  • Create and articulate compelling value propositions that demonstrate how the company's solutions can benefit payers and their members.
  • Monitor industry developments and adjust strategies accordingly to stay ahead of market trends.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, clinical, product, and operations, to ensure proposals are comprehensive and competitive.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and conditions for contracts with payers, ensuring the company's financial interests are protected.
  • Ensure all interactions with payers are compliant with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Must adhere to Clarest’s Code of Conduct, follow Clarest Compliance policies and procedures, and report any suspected violations of any federal or state laws to either their direct supervisor, Human Resources or the Compliance Officer

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, healthcare administration, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in account management within healthcare or pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven track record of successfully growing client relationships
  • Valid Driver’s License (in good standing)
  • In-depth knowledge of medication management programs
  • Familiarity with STAR ratings, HEDIS measures, and the healthcare payor landscape

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation abilities.
  • Skilled in establishing and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 50%+.
