We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Flexographic Press Operator to join our production team. This role requires the setup, operation, and maintenance of flexographic printing equipment to produce high-quality multi-color products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flexographic printing, color management, and equipment troubleshooting.

 

Location: Thonotosassa, FL

Salary: Starting at $24

Schedule: Monday Thursday 5:00 am - 3:00 pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and troubleshoot card presses to ensure efficient production.
  • Perform setup, operation, and cleanup of presses, ensuring high-quality output.
  • Print multi-color products and operate continuous web converting equipment.
  • Handle and maintain unwind and rewind turrets during production.
  • Interpret job tickets to ensure proper setup and production requirements are met.
  • Inspect printed copies against approved sample proofs and quality standards.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and adhere to quality control procedures.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • The ability to adhere to Clarest’s Code of Conduct, follow Clarest Compliance policies and procedures, and report any suspected violations of any federal or state laws to either their direct supervisor, Human Resources or the Compliance Officer

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of demonstrated experience operating flexographic printing equipment preferred.
  • Familiarity with multi-color UV continuous web flexographic presses and laminating/gluing substrates to various boards preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret work instructions accurately in English.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong ability to set up, run, and troubleshoot presses while maintaining quality standards.
  • Color Theory and Ink Handling: Proficiency in mixing UV and water-based inks and ensuring proper color matching.
  • Knowledge of selecting print cylinders, plates, dies, and managing anilox rolls and die registration.
  • Ability to inspect products thoroughly and maintain strict production standards.
  • Adherence to safety protocols, including hazardous waste handling and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and adapt to production needs.
