Join our team as an experienced IV Pharmacy Technician, ensuring seamless medication delivery to long term care facilities. Our IV Pharmacy Technicians will assist pharmacists in preparing sterile admixtures and compounding IV solutions while following 797 USP Standards. Our IV Technicians play a critical role in maintaining cleanroom standards, managing inventory and handling documentation.

 

Location: On site at our closed-door, Southborough MA, pharmacy

Salary: starts at $25/hr (contingent with experience)

Reports to: IV Supervisor

Available Schedules:

9 am - 5:30 pm (M-F) with rotating weekends (10 am – 6:30 pm)

4 pm - 12:30 am (M-F) with rotating weekends (10 am – 6:30 pm)

Key Responsibilities:

·           Must adhere to Clarest’s Code of Conduct, follow Clarest Compliance policies and procedures, and report any suspected violations of any federal or state laws to either their direct supervisor, Human Resources or the Compliance Officer

·           Perform sanitation and maintenance of the cleanroom area and infusion equipment according to 797 USP Standards

·           Compounds sterile admixtures and non-admixtures, including but not limited to parenteral nutrition, antibiotics, hydration, using aseptic technique

·           Prepares labels, prescription, compounding/mixing worksheets and completes and maintains product lot numbers and expiration dates. Generates delivery/pick slips under the supervision of the pharmacist. Picks and prepares supplies

·           Takes inventory, places orders, check in medications and supplies, stocks IV shelves and removes out-of-date items from inventory

·           Records and maintains refrigerator temperature logs

·           Uses good documentation practices

·           Assists Pharmacists and calls facilities for IV order questions

·           Responsible for cleaning and maintain IV pumps and the IV pump information

 

 

Qualifications:

·           High school diploma or GED is required

·           National Pharmacy Technician Certification in MA is required (must be in good standing)

·           1-2 years experience as an IV Technician

·           Framework experience is a plus
