ProCare LTC Pharmacy is seeking a Full Time IV Technician for our Worthington, Ohio location.
Salary: contingent with experience.
Schedule: 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Job Summary:
In this position you will coordinate with the assistance of the pharmacist in the preparation of sterile admixtures. You also must be able to make/compound IV. The ideal candidate will be responsible and professional. Must be able to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment. Punctuality and good attendance are a requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform sanitation and maintenance of the cleanroom area and infusion equipment according to 797 UDP Standards
  • Compounds sterile admixtures and non-admixtures, including but not limited to parenteral nutrition, antibiotics, hydration, using aseptic technique
  • Prepares labels, prescription, compounding/mixing worksheets and completes and maintains product lot numbers and expiration dates. Generates delivery/pick slips under the supervision of the pharmacist. Picks and prepares supplies
  • Takes inventory, places orders, check in medications and supplies, stocks IV shelves and removes out-of-date items from inventory
  • Records and maintains refrigerator temperature logs
  • Uses good documentation practices
  • Assists Pharmacists and calls facilities for IV order questions
  • Responsible for cleaning and maintain IV pumps and the IV pump information
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal customer service skills and advanced computer skills.
  • The ability to adhere to Clarest’s Code of Conduct, follow Clarest Compliance policies and procedures, and report any suspected violations of any federal or state laws to either their direct supervisor, Human Resources or the Compliance Officer 
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Pharmacy Technician license required (Must be in good standing)
  • National Certification required
  • IV technician experience required.
  • Framework experience is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Proven experience as an IV technician (1-2 years Minimum)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Effective communicator
  • Quick and independent learner
  • Flexibility to work overtime, holidays and weekends as needed
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Knowledge of Pharmacy law and medical terminology - a plus
  • Successful completion of a pharmacy technician program required
